The Amazing Benefits of Quercetin Phytosome.
Fruits, vegetables, and other plant foods contain more beneficial substances than just the essential carbs, protein, fat, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. There are also countless “non-essential” nutrients with many known health benefits, and more yet to be discovered.
For example, there are 6,000 flavonoids that contribute to the color and antioxidant content of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs, both culinary and medicinal. One of the most prevalent flavonoids is quercetin, which has a range of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.
What Is Quercetin?
Quercetin is a brilliant yellow, fat-soluble, alcohol-soluble flavonoid belonging to the flavanol class (the -ol means its molecule has alcohol components). Apples, berries, cruciferous vegetables, onions, tomatoes, capers, and tea are some sources of quercetin. As quercetin helps to protect plants against disease and stresses, organic food generally contains more than conventionally-grown produce.
What are the key Quercetin Benefits?
Quercetin has a number of potential health benefits, centered around the prevention of chronic, age-related conditions.

Cardiovascular Health

Immune Boosting
Improved cardiovascular health has long-term benefits, but what can really brighten your day today is a reduced risk of infection. A clinical study on male cyclists compared quercetin to a placebo over several weeks, which included training sessions. Although exercise is overall beneficial, intense activity may temporarily lower immunity.
Here, quercetin supplementation was able to cut down the risk of upper respiratory tract infections by 90%. While eight of 20 people in the placebo group caught colds or other infections, only one of 20 men taking quercetin got sick.
Cardiovascular Health
Cardiovascular diseases cause the most damage to our health out of all age-related conditions. But why do so many seemingly fit and healthy people get struck down by them? Today, we know that inflammation and oxidative stress are behind the buildup of damaging artery plaques, not cholesterol and fat on their own.
In a clinical study, men took either red wine extract, quercetin, or a placebo for two weeks to measure LDL (“bad”) cholesterol oxidation. Each group took turns with the different treatments; and no, you weren’t missing out on any fun, as the red wine extract was alcohol-free. Quercetin slowed down LDL oxidation the most out of the three treatments, measured by exposing blood samples to oxidative copper substances. This means LDL cholesterol is less likely to be oxidized before your body recycles it, potentially reducing your risk of artery plaques.
A large analysis of clinical trials, with a total of almost 900 people, found that quercetin could lower blood pressure. On average, quercetin reduced blood pressure by three points on both readings. If your blood pressure started out as 140/85mmHg, for example, it could be expected to drop to 137/82mmHg. People taking quercetin for more than two months also had increased HDL (“good”) cholesterol, which is linked with improved cardiovascular health.
Aging
Research shows that quercetin may have deep antiaging effects. This is an amazing quality to have, as aging and its related diseases are responsible for most death and disability in the developed world. One feature of the aging process is increased oxidative damage, which eventually overwhelms our own antioxidant defenses and those we consume in our diet. Quercetin’s antiaging effects may predominately work through restoring our cells’ abilities to remove old, damaged proteins that generate oxidative damage. As a result, aged cells grow younger, and their healthy function returns.
Quercetin Benefits are best in Phytosomal Form
Supplements only work if your body can digest and absorb them. Quercefit, a Quercetin Phytosome formula, is a type of fat known as a lecithin carries quercetin into your bloodstream. Quercetin does not play nice with water, but is much more readily absorbed into the body when accompanied by these fats.
A trial on the Quercetin Phytosome formula found that participants’ blood levels of quercetin were up to 20 times higher compared to standard supplementation. Under normal circumstances. the quercetin would mostly stay in the digestive tract, a water-rich environment. Here, the fats released quercetin once they were absorbed by the intestinal lining.
Tested Quercetin Phytosome
Quercetin Phytosome can give you benefits to your overall health and athletic performance in as little as two weeks. Heavy exercise results in oxidative stress and inflammation, which can impair muscle growth and recovery in high enough levels.
Another trial tested a 250mg dose of Quercetin Phytosome, taken twice daily, comparing the treatment and placebo groups’ running times. Participants taking the Quercetin Phytosome cut their running times by 11.3% on average, compared to just 3.9% in the placebo group. The treated group also noted less muscle soreness and faster post-workout recovery, and described their training as more valuable.
As research into quercetin adds up, we have grown more confident that Quercefit is the best way to enjoy the benefits of this flavonoid. From boosting your performance and resistance to colds now, to potential long-term antiaging effects, a readily-absorbed formula of quercetin can do wonders for your health and lifestyle.

Quercetin Phytosome
Quercetin is known as the “queen of the flavonoids.” Studies have suggested that flavonoids exhibit biological activities, including anti-allergenic, inflammatory factors and vasodilating actions. Compared to a regular quercetin, the bio-absorption and solubility are up to 20X MORE than an unformulated quercetin.*
Qummune™ contains 250 mg of Quercefit® Quercetin Phytosome per serving.
Chelated Zinc
The Chelated Zinc from Albion® binds zinc to two organic glycine ligands, resulting in a low pH, highly stable structure that is easily absorbed. Zinc bisglycinate chelate to zinc gluconate showed the Zinc Chelated form increased absorption more than 43%.*
Qummune™ contains 11 mg of Albion® Chelated Zinc (100% DV) per serving.
Vitamin C
According to PureWay-C studies, their technology helps to accelerate and improve overall absorption by the body, maximizing the delivery of active Vitamin C.*
Qummune™ contains 500 mg of PureWay-C® Vitamin C (555% DV) per serving.
Vitamin D3
Sufficient amounts of Vitamin D are key to overall health. According to studies, some of its most vital functions are regulating the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and helping facilitate immune support. Proper levels of vitamin D are also needed for the growth and development of bones and teeth.*
Qummune™ contains 50 mcg of Vitamin D3 (250% DV) per serving.
Vitamin K2
Vitamin K plays a vital role in blood clotting, calcium metabolism and heart health. One of its most important functions is regulating calcium deposition, specifically helping promote the calcification of bones and reduce the calcification of blood vessels. And adequate amounts of Vitamin K are essential when taking Vitamin D supplements at a time.*
Qummune™ contains 60 mcg of Vitamin K2 (50% DV) per serving.
